The weekend house is located in the small seaside town of Stratoni, at the lower foothills of Chalkidiki.

The clients wished to have a traditional stone house with a pitched roof.

We tried to respond to this demand, interpreting the "mountain chalet" as a simple prism, wrapped with a solid stone wall- as a compact, introverted volume, that interacts in various ways with the outside.

Recesses and subtractions are forming different semi-open spaces:

a deep niche/ entrance courtyard,  open to the top; covered loggias, open on one or two sides;

a water cistern to the south;

a semi-open, cool stone room in the west, shaped and enclosed by the stone wall.
